Patreon is an online subscription platform that allows Ms Jarvis’ subscribers to pay to view exclusive, extra video content.
「Patreon」とは、ジャービスさんの支援者がお金を払うことで、限定の追加ビデオコンテンツを見られるオンライン購読プラットフォームだ。
This is now said to make about £24,000 per month.
これが現在、月に約24,000ポンド（約375万円）の収入になるのだとか。
Another couple now making YouTube videos about life owning a French chateau are British designer Anna Mayrhofer and her Italian filmmaker husband Philipp.
もう一組、フランスのシャトー暮らしをYouTubeにアップしているのは、イギリス人デザイナーのアンナ・マイアホーファーとイタリア人映画監督の夫フィリップだ。
They purchased their 18th Century Chateau Le Fleur, in Normandy, in 2019, using money from the sale of their Parisian apartment.
彼らは2019年、パリのアパルトマンを売却した資金で、ノルマンディー地方にある18世紀のシャトー・ル・フルールを購入。
Like Ms Jarvis, they also underestimated the total cost of the renovations that the property would need.
彼らもまたジャービスさんと同じように、この物件にかかる改修費用の総額を過小評価していた。
The couple started to post videos at the end of 2020, hoping it would serve as a marketing tool for when the pandemic ended and they could open their bed and breakfast.
夫妻は、パンデミックが終わり、B＆Bをオープンした際のマーケティングツールになればと、2020年末に動画の投稿を開始した。
いや～、皆さん思い切りがいい！
まあそうでないと城主にはなれないか・・・光熱費、修繕費、考えただけでも震えが（笑）。
ただ誰かが一生懸命チャレンジしてる姿は、見ごたえがあります。
その情熱に感動して、だんだんとファンが増えていくのでしょうね。
日本では若い人の古民家再生チャレンジ、これを楽しく拝見しています。
いつかは自分たちもやってみたい、あまり老いぼれる前に（笑）と、夢みています。
理由は単純明快！「少ないコストでしっかり楽しく学べるから」。
