先日から「The world’s most liveable cities for 2023 -「2023年版・世界で住みやすい都市ランキング」を読んでいます。

Auckland, New Zealand

Tied at number 10 with Osaka, Auckland climbed more than 25 spots from last year, due in large part to its delayed reopening from the pandemic, where restrictions and mandates weren’t fully lifted until September 2022.
大阪と並んで10位のオークランドは、パンデミックからの再開が遅れ、2022年9月まで規制や義務付けが完全に解除されなかったこともあり、昨年から25位以上順位を上げた。

Alongside its perfect education score, the city also had the highest culture and environment score among the top 10 cities,
教育のスコアが満点だったことに加え、文化と環境のスコアも上位10都市の中で最高で、

a data point that residents echoed in their experiences here.
このデータには、住民の経験も反映されている。

“A beautiful secluded beach is probably within a 20-minute car drive for most living in Auckland, if not closer,”

利便性と、世界的・文化的なイベントにすぐアクセス出来るという都会のメリットと、手つかずの自然、その両方を味わえる場所がオークランドということなんですね。

ニュージーランドは食材も豊富そうで、のびのびと健康的に暮らせそうなイメージがあります。

比較的治安も良く、留学先としても、いつも人気がありますね。
