魔除けとして寺院の周囲に吊るされることも多く、風鈴の鳴り響く音は、涼しい風を優しく思い出させてくれる。

I can attest that their sound felt like respite.

respite「一時的休止、ひと休み、休息期間、（債務などの）猶予、延期、（死刑の）執行猶予」。

暑いからとにかく脱ぐ、なるべく身にまとう衣類を減らす、これは確かに最初に思いつくことだと思います。

しかし本当に暑い場所では、むしろそうではなく・・・ふわりと布をまとって、その布の中で風を躍らせる。

そうして暑さをしのぐ方法もあるのですよね。
