先日から「How to escape the tyranny of the clock -「時計の支配から逃れる方法」を読んでいます。

He points to this link between time and money in much of the language we use today – we “spend time”, for example.

機械時計で計るべきでないものがあること、人間の消化機能の都合は、時計の刻む時間より優先であることは明らかであった。

“Clock time is a very specific way of looking at time,” says David Gange, a historian at the University of Birmingham, UK.
「時刻は、時間の見方として非常に特殊なものです」と語るのは、英国バーミンガム大学の歴史学者デビッド・ガンジ氏。

“As a global system it’s a less than a 100 years old.

気づいてみれば驚くべきことです。」

トイレの時間まで管理されるのは、さすがに勘弁してほしい（笑）。

経済発展と共に、時計の力がどんどん強くなってきたのですね・・・。

時計が社会生活の軸になった時から、人間の自然なリズムが軽視されて、そのひずみが人々を疲れさせているのかも。

自然に触れるとほっと癒される気がするのは、本来のリズムや息吹がそこにあるからかな？という気がしました。
